Coleman Sundome 4 Person Tent
I’ve used the Coleman Sundome 4 Person Tent on the majority of my camping trips, and I have never had a complaint. This tent fits the needs of the typical camper, it weighs in at 11 pounds so it can easily be carried into a campsite if necessary. The Sundome 4 Person tent is incredibly easy to assemble, simply unfold the two cross poles and attach the rainfly, which can be done in under 15 minutes. At 9′ X 7′ X 59” it is marketed as a 4 man tent, but from my experience it comfortably sleeps 3. One of the most reliable features of this tent is its waterproofing. All fly and floor seams are factory sealed, the bathtub-style floor is composed of heavy duty 1000D polyethylene for extra durability and has welded leak proof seams even in the corners. ALPS Mountaineering Lynx 1-Person Tent
For the casual backpacker: The ALPS Mountaineering Lynx 1-Person Tent. This relatively light tent weighs in at just under 4 pounds, making it easy to carry from site to site. The Lynx is perfect for your solo backpacking trip, or for people who prefer to sleep lone. I have used a single person tent like this one before, and it was wonderful. The Lynx tent features a freestanding design, and pole clips that quickly attach to the aluminum poles for an incredibly easy setup. Plus it features easy one door entry, and one vestibule for extra storage. Whats especially nice about the Lynx is that the walls are mostly mesh, which helps increase ventilation. See more about the Lynx tent here.
Coleman Sundome 2 Person Tent
The Coleman Sundome 2 Person Tent is (not surprisingly) very similar to the Sundome 4 person reviewed above. This version however is up to 33% more water-resistant than a Comparable standard Coleman tent. This tent features a large D-shaped door for easy accessibility, and a large rear hooded window along with mesh air vents in the roof for ventilation. Set up instructions are sewn to the carry bag so they are easy to find and hard to lose. At 84 x 60 x 48 inches, this tent comfortably sleeps 1-2 people. Just like the 4 person tent, this tent is easy to assemble, deconstruct, has a bathtub-style floor, and comes with external guy points to keep the tent stable in storms and high winds.
